Day 1: Sapa – Thanh Phu Village – Sin Chai Village. Homestay in Sin Chai

Morning Activities:
Begin your day with an exciting journey as you depart from the town of Sapa, accompanied by our knowledgeable local guide and friendly driver, en route to the picturesque Ban Ho village. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the village and its surrounding valley while learning about the unique lifestyle of the Tay ethnic community. As you walk through the fields, take note of the diligent local farmers who are not only tending to their rice paddies but also cultivating corn, sweet potatoes, seasonal fruits, and a variety of vegetables. Your adventure continues with a scenic hike to Thanh Phu village, where you can enjoy a delightful lunch amidst nature.

Afternoon and Evening Activities:
In the afternoon, your hiking exploration will take you to the charming Sin Chai village, providing ample opportunities to appreciate its stunning beauty while gaining deeper insights into the culture of the Red Dao ethnic group. Upon arrival, check in for a cozy homestay experience, where you’ll savor a delicious dinner prepared by a welcoming local family.

As night falls, you’ll have the opportunity for meaningful conversations with the villagers, allowing you to gain a profound understanding of their daily lives, traditions, and cultural customs. Spend the night in a traditional stilt house, enveloped by the warmth of newfound friends and the enchanting tranquility of the countryside.

Day 2: Sin Chai Village – My Son – Sa Pa (B/L)

Morning Activities

Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the village nestled amidst the mountainous landscape. As you begin your journey from Sin Chai Village to My Son Village in Nam Sai Commune, located about 30 km from Sa Pa town, you will be treated to spectacular views of the terraced rice fields cascading down into the valley. The local community farms only one rice crop per year, supplementing their livelihood by rotating with corn, potatoes, chickens, pigs, and goats.

My Son is home to the Xafo people, also known as the Phu La ethnic minority. They migrated to Vietnam from the southern islands of Asia, such as Malaysia and Indonesia, around 200 to 300 years ago. Continue your journey to Nam Toong, where the Red Dao people reside, allowing you to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery and enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.

Afternoon Activities:

Continue your journey to the village before heading back to Ban Ho Village, where you can relax and swim in the stream if the weather permits.

After a refreshing swim, you will meet your driver on the main road to return to Sa Pa town. While traveling, enjoy the picturesque views of the terraced rice fields, rolling hills, and charming villages situated at the foot of the mountains and valleys. You will return to Sa Pa in the late afternoon, feeling rejuvenated after your memorable hiking adventure in this remote village!
