Hiking Through the Rainforest

The trail passes through dense tropical vegetation filled with vines, creepers, and towering trees. As you climb higher, the rainforest canopy creates a cool and shaded environment.

The path is rocky and moderately steep. Therefore, proper footwear is highly recommended. During rainy conditions, extra caution is necessary because the ground can become slippery.

After approximately 10 to 15 minutes of hiking, you will reach a large banyan tree standing in a small clearing beside the trail. Its sprawling roots and branches spread across a giant boulder, creating a natural climbing structure.

Many hikers stop here for photos or simply to admire this impressive feature of the forest.

The Steeper Section of the Trail

Beyond the banyan tree, the terrain becomes steeper and more rugged. In several sections, wooden ladders help hikers navigate the uneven landscape.

Meanwhile, the rainforest becomes even more immersive. Sunlight occasionally filters through the treetops, creating beautiful patterns on the forest floor. In addition, the sounds of cicadas and rustling leaves contribute to the wilderness atmosphere.

As you approach the upper section of the trail, a steep rock face appears. Fortunately, a rustic wooden staircase provides access to the next level. However, hikers should move carefully because a misstep could result in a fall.

Reaching Đỉnh Tiên Sơn Peak

Near the summit, the trail twists through the forest before emerging into bright sunlight. Suddenly, hikers find themselves standing on a massive flat boulder known as Đỉnh Tiên Sơn, or Fairy Mountain Peak.

A small carved milestone and altar decorated with flowers and incense mark the summit. From here, spectacular views extend across southern Phu Quoc Island.

Visitors can see the airport, rolling forested hills, An Thới Port, and the island’s southern coastline. Furthermore, the surrounding sea often shimmers under the sunlight, creating excellent photography opportunities.

Several nearby boulders can also be climbed for even wider viewpoints.

Why Visit Đỉnh Tiên Sơn Peak?
