
Vietnam earned wins in 40 categories, with both destinations and hotels and resorts getting top honors.
Panhou Retreat in Hoang Su Phi District, Tuyen Quang Province, was awarded Asia’s Leading Green Resort. The property consists of a villa and 40 rooms, with rates starting at VND2.9 million ($110) a night.
The name Panhou (Ban Ho) comes from a legend about the deity Long Khuyen Ban Ho who helped a king defeat his enemies and later married the king’s daughter.
He became known as Ban Vuong and is regarded as the ancestor of the 12 Dao ethnic groups.

The first central Vietnam representative on the list is Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa, located on Hen Islet near Hoi An. It won the award for Asia’s Leading Entertainment Resort for a fourth consecutive year.
Situated 31 km from Da Nang International Airport, it offers rooms from VND1.75 million ($66) and is close to attractions such as the Chaozhou Assembly Hall (19th-century Chinese guild hall), the Hoi An Museum of History and the Japanese Bridge.

Shilla Monogram in Da Nang, a five-minute walk from Ha My Beach, was Asia’s Leading Lifestyle Resort. It is close to Montgomerie Links Golf Club, making it a popular choice for golf travelers. Rooms start at around VND4.5 million ($171).

Premier Village Danang was named Asia’s Leading Family Villa Resort, its first win. Located on My Khe Beach, it offers 111 villas in oceanfront, garden and beachfront styles.
Guests can visit nearby UNESCO sites such as My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town. Room rates begin at VND8.3 million ($315).

Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills won the Asia’s Leading Themed Resort award. Perched atop Nui Chua Mountain, it is a cool-weather retreat popular with families thanks to the adjacent amusement park. Rooms start at around VND2.8 million ($106).

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula was named Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort. Opened in 2012, it stretches across the hillsides of the Son Tra Nature Reserve in Da Nang. The resort is also home to La Maison 1888, Da Nang’s first Michelin-starred restaurant, which offers French cuisine. Rooms start at $450.

Banyan Tree Lang Co in Hue, with 86 private villas and individual pools overlooking the East Sea and the Annamite Range, was named Asia’s Leading Luxury Beach Resort.
Mountain-view villas cost VND16-25 million ($608 – $950) a night. Private infinity pools are among its most popular features.

Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay was named Asia’s Leading Family Beach Resort for the second year in a row.
Located near Khem Beach, the five-star property has more than 750 rooms and is 25 minutes away from Phu Quoc International Airport. Rates start at VND2.85 million ($108).

La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc – MGallery won the Asia’s Leading Boutique Resort prize. Overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, the property captures the style of 1920s French colonial mansions. Room rates begin at VND3.6 million ($137).

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay received the award for Asia’s Most Romantic Resort. Set amid the landscapes of Ninh Van Bay in Khanh Hoa Province, it offers views of the sea from thatched villas and is home to endangered monkeys. The activities it offers include hiking, beach picnics, fishing, and sunset viewing. Room rates start at around $900.
